Privacy Policy

CrystalFire Software is in the business of selling software and related services, not selling your personal information.

From time to time, you may provide us with certain personal information such as your name and e-mail address. In particular, such information may be necessary to process a purchase on Kagi, the site which processes our orders online.

CrystalFire Software will never provide such information to third parties. The sole exception is Kagi, which will handle your personal information as part of the purchase process (some of which it then provides to us).

We will not use the e-mail address you provided to contact you except in one of the following circumstances:

1. You contact us for technical support (or otherwise obviously solicit information from us), in which case we will contact you as necessary to resolve your issue. Note that if your issue or request is not immediately solvable (i.e. a new version of Wormhole will be necessary to resolve it), a communication from us may come a significant period of time after your initial contact.
2. You subscribe to our e-mail newsletter (usually sent when a new product is added, an existing one is updated, or some other notable event occurs).
3. You include a comment in the "comment to vendor" field of a Kagi purchase
4. A bug or issue is found in a product which we feel is so critical (such as a bug that can destroy data) that we will send a single warning to people who have purchased that product, EVEN IF THEY HAVE NOT SUBSCRIBED, informing them that they should discontinue use of the product or upgrade. This would be an exceedingly rare event; it has never happened yet.

With great privacy comes great responsibility. Unless you subcribe to our mailing list, you will not automatically be notified of updates in products you have purchased. Please be sure to check the web site occasionally for updates!

There are occasional jokes around the web site about a "sell to the highest bidder" privacy policy. They are just that--jokes; this policy is our official one.
