Welcome to the CrystalFire Software Web Site

CrystalFire Software produces cross-platform software for the desktop.

We're closed, and none of our products are currently for sale. Support for existing customers continues uninterrupted.

Wormhole Diet Allowance Photo Pack Cropl

We make: Wormhole for easy cross-platform file transfers; FlashComet for an extra layer of security when using those handy USB flash drives; the Oregon Landscape Pack to make your desktop or screensaver beautiful; and of course everything we make is created with CroPL, a cross-platform, C++ programming library and application framework (migrating to CroPL II now, as progress marches on).

News

Well, as you might have guessed from our long delay, we're closed. The recession, coupled with the process of moving a small business between states, plus a simple lack of time for updating software, resulted in closing our doors being the most reasonable course of action at this time. Since we've had the store shut down for more than a year, this shouldn't result in any "stranded" customers in their warranty period. That said, the support e-mail remains open, and we can still resolve issues such as missing or lost serial numbers.

Depending on economic conditions and time, we may re-open our doors at a future date. Updates will be posted here if that occurs.

Development partners (that is, folks using our source code in their own products) are not affected by this shutdown, and should maintain their current contacts.

We're looking at the possibility of making the current version of Wormhole a free download (although we can't release the source). If that occurs, we'll post a universal site license serial number on the Wormhole page. No support will be offered for this version.

1-1-2010 We're closed, possibly permenantly. See the note above. Support and the website remain live for now.

7-7-2009 We're moving! The website and support will remain live, but the store will be shut down for a few weeks.
